Harvest is not working with this app

Havest integration is not working with this app, if you use asana with harvest there is no use to download this app. But if you use asana just task management you can download. There is no use for me o use this app untill the harvest bug fixes.

Interface redraw problems

Current version (2.1) has interface redraw problems, context selection appears behind tasks.

support??

no support at all. Your better off using fluid app to make your own app wrapper. That way you’ll know it works! My issue is that I can’t log into my work gmail account. It just brings me to a broken google page.

Notifications

You really need notifications to make this application really fantastic!

Not bad: So far I really like this.

Some things to note: WebView • Animation from Account Settings/Themes/ for example Winter: go really slow if you compare it to the browser • Account Settings/Profile/Photo: is slightly bigger but blurr. Would be best being smaller • Fonts: The apps font are a bit bigger than the version used on the website. Also the tracking between the letters make them look as if they are smashing together •Top bar: Would be better to be smaller as it’s almost the same size as a browser bar only displaying Tabs and Addressbar (Like Chrome). - That being said; why is it there in the first place? It displays a Back and Forth arrow as well as Refresh, but that can be smaller. Will continue testing. Love the idea of having it in my /System Preferences…/Users & Groups/Login Items (Did try the Mobile version: pretty kewl, but need more time on it)

Pretty Useless.. Two dollars wasted

This is basically the browser app in another window.. You’d rather open a separate window on Safari/Chrome and leave asana running there.

Good for those of us who prefer a separate app/window

I just got this and have not yet used it fully to uncover any potential bugs, but for me, I use my browser non-stop throughout the day for many different things. I am constantly opening Safari windows and tabs and closing windows—which also closes all tabs within a Safari window. This app allows me to have a separate app/window open that doesn’t get caught up and inadvertently closed when I close other Safari windows, and allows for a dedicated workflow window, which also allows me to Command-Tab-Right-Arrow to bring up the app whenever I want to. Having the option to view in Mobile mode is also intriguing. For me, an easy $2 spend. Much appreciated. Wonder why the developer didn’t offer the same approach as an option.

Opening links in default browser! Yeah!

So glad to get this update - having to manually open links in my default browser was one of the only down sides to this very handy app! Thanks for adding this feature!

Not worth it

Okay, basically this is safari running inside an app. When I first started it, for 15 seconds it was blank, I thought it was really going to be bad. But then up popped an auth screen. Only reason this happens is that its a web app in a window. Asana is a decent piece of software, but lacks what slack has in the native application for the machine. I mean its only really 3 desktop platforms and this is a task management app. Developing for the web UI is 1000s of times harder than doing the native app for win/osx. I had really hoped for better.

Only thing missing is you should make Personal Projects easier to switch to.

It’s great and all that you wrap the web page inside of this app window. But would be sweet is if one of the follwing were true: A) I could open two instances of the app (EASY). Then I can have one set to my main collaborative team, and one open to my personal tasks. OR B) Change the stupid tedious navigation to jump to personal tasks. Give me a button always visible to switch between Personal and Collab teams. THANKS

Keep logged in option?

I like the App, it’s nicer than trying to find the website among my myriad bookmarks. Would it be possible to have the App NOT log me out though? I’d like to be able to just open the app without having to search for my long randomly generated password

not good

The web one is still better. I pulled this onto a second monitor with a smaller resolution and it wouldn’t scale correctly. I don’t want to stick around to find out what other bugs are laying around. I went back to the web version in about 2 seconds.

Love this app

I love this app and use it for just about everything: School (I can build a comprehensive syllabus by due date), work (I can collaborate with distant co-workers), and life. This most recent update dropped me down a star: I don’t like that the badge icon counts how many tasks I have rather than how many messages are in my inbox. Can’t seem to find a way to fix this on my own, I wouldn’t it mind it so much if I could have some options on how the notifications count.

Basically the same as the website

The app looks like the website (or the old mobile app), thought it seems more buggy. The top menu icon does nothing that I can see except bring the app in and out of focus. Seems like this would have been an opportunity to add something useful like an activity log of your latest notifications. The app badge tells you how many tasks you have to do, which isn’t useful to me personally. As another reviewer mentioned, it would be better if it counted inbox items. Better yet, allow this choice to be made in preferences. Make that change and Ill feel my $2 was justified.

Just a web view

Waste of money. The application is a simple web-view. You can achieve the same experience by opening the asana website in a browser tab, only you get less features, such as properly scaling windows.

Very Laggy and Limited Features

I use asana all the time, on all devices. I wanted to have a menubar app or desktop app, which the asana group doesn’t currently make. Right now, this does an ok job, but overall is very laggy and more limited features.

Web Wrapper

What a waste of money. The fact that someone is making money on wrapping someone elses product in a $2 app wrapper is frustrating. When you pay for this what you are getting is: - Notifications - Badge Icons in your dock - Menubar Icon. (No dropdown just functions like clicking on the dock) - Equal or worse responsiveness - Ability to close your web browser (Not really since this has a web browser in it) This is disappointing to say the least.

This app is ok, but I have some suggestions. :D

This app is ok. But personally, I actually have some problems with it that might make me quit using this app if they’re not tended to... Such as: - I can’t tab into this app like I can with all the other apps I have, so it makes quick references harder to just grab up from the web or another doc in a different app that I have open on my mac… - I can’t “force quit” this application - I just updated yesterday and I think the newest version might be eating my RAM two handfuls at a time… - I can’t print from this app like I can in Anasa on the web Otherwise, it’s a decent app, just needs some refinement on these bits I’ve mentioned above. :)

Doesn’t work.

When I first downloaded the app, I was extremely disappointed with it. As mentioned in other apps, it’s exactly the same as the web version like having a separate browser that only opens Asana. In addition, for months now it doesn’t even open correctly and is stuck in “Waiting for connection…"
