Good but with version 2.5 and Sierra it crashes instantly at start, unusable.
Love the app, using it everyday… until the latest El Capitan update, it stopped working completely, still wokring on an older OS version 10.10… please fix. Thank you
This is exactly what I was looking for. Rather than having several tabs open in chrome, I like having important “apps” like asana in their own “app” on the dock so I can easily CMD+Tab to switch between apps. Plus having the notifications on the dock is a bonus. Functions the same as Slack, iMessage, etc now - Which is how I prefer to work.
Accidentally tried to open a new tab within App Sana, and now the app crashes immediately on app load stating there is an “Internal Error". If it is this easy for the app to run into an inconsistent state, then the app should know how to reset to factory settings and start over. Until this is fixed, its better off to stick with the browser.
Crashes at startup. Not even goes to the authorization Sierra. 10.12.3 MacBook Pro mid2014
The app works for me, but I’ve noticed that it’s a huge memory hog. At its peak, it usues around 1.2 GB of RAM (which I think is a bit odd). Besides that, does what it says it does, which is just a gateway to Asana.
The app notifications don’t work at all. This is annoying. Plus, the developer has no method of support as the website doesn’t work.
I have not been able to use the app because I have just gotten a server error for weeks.
This is not an app. It’s just a web browser that’s locked to Asana. You’re paying for a shortcut to their website, basically. Total rip off.
Asana’s fine, in and of itself. This app was just a shell of the website, which was still helpful. But…it’s been months since I’ve gotten anything but a server error. There has been no response from customer service and no attempt to fix it. Save your money, use something else, this is a waste. UPDATE: 2.5 came out, I was hoping the issue would be fixed. It isn’t.
I like the App, it’s nicer than trying to find the website among my myriad bookmarks. Would it be possible to have the App NOT log me out though? I’d like to be able to just open the app without having to search for my long randomly generated password. Or at least connect it with key chain.
Apsana- learn something WCAG 2.0 AA 1.4.3 Minimum Contrast. I spend half my time guessing at where things are at. If you have low vision or are color blind, move on- this is not the tool for you. I have not even tried it with a screen reader and am afraid at what that might resort to.
I LOVE AppSana, and I use it every day with my business. First purchased the App July 2016, and I have loved it the entire time. HUGE time saver to have the badge icon, ability to run Asana at startup, and keep the Asana window over anything else. It has increased my productivity by at least 30-40%. (I have ADHD, so I need something like this) I have NO CLUE what all of the negative reviews are for. I am always religious in making sure that I install any avalable updates, and I haven’t had one problem. As you can see from the above, I have used it literally every weekday, all day, for about six months. If you have a problem with it being a wrapper around the Asana website, then you must have an internet speed issue. Every once in a while I get a connection error, but it’s very rare, and very brief. I’m not sure what exactly people are expecting for a ONE TIME fee of $5. There is no way that this app should be 2 stars overall. Also, no, I do not work for or have any affiliation with the App author whatsoever.
I have been using it for over 3 month now and enjoyed its layout and colors. Two days ago I started assigning many tasks just to realize that they were not being updated. I have restarted the app and did it again, same thing happened. Now I need to go to a browser version, because I just can’t trust Appsana anymore.
I want a refund, app ddint start AT ALL
- Cannot display the Minimized view - No notification support :-(
It simply opens Asana website in a browser of its own, that happens to be much worse than Chrome.
I was looking for an App for Asana which would provide a native expierience. This is not that. This is a browser dedicated to a single site. Your interaction will continue to mirror the webiste because you’re using the website within this App.
This is the Asana website in a dedicated window. I could not find any incremental value to using this.
